This morning Zai was not feeling well, she was in pain and had symptoms I won’t mention here. I went to work and received a text that she was getting worse. I ordered her to call the doctor, and she set off to find her insurance card. She sends me another text saying it looked like her insurance lapsed. She had assumed her insurance covered her through November… and that’s a dangerous assumption to make.

You know, since I began writing on zelkun, I’ve noticed a lot of my life’s stories could be seen as comedic and occasionally satiric.
I was stressed out and a little sick to my stomach during my botched proposal to Zai, but when I found myself writing about it, I couldn’t help but laugh.

Then there was the wedding itself, where I’m certain I nearly had a heart attack on several occasions. But again when I sat down to write about it, it was so surreal and even felt scripted.

I really liked the way you put it in your facebook post: An unintentional satiric comedy of modern life .
Seems like I want to put that in the site somewhere, I’m just really digging that phrase.
I felt the same way when I was writing out the “My Life (or something like it)” series. It was like, this is nuts, no one is going to believe any of this. My life is like some horrible black comedy.
That’s one of the nice things about blogging though. Somehow it helps thing that seem awful at the time seem funny later.
